Graphic Design Summer Internship (04/20/2014)

Position Summary

Big Bad Boo and Oznoz.com develop and distribute multilingual products (games, books and cartoons) that teach children different languages and about different cultures. We are high growth company looking for energetic team players that can positively contribute to our environment, have a passion for excellence and appreciate our social objectives.

Do you have a passion for design? A fresh, innovative style and limitless creative energy? We are seeking an intern graphic designer with big ideas who can turn creative concepts into impactful designs. This is paid summer internship. The successful candidate will have a portfolio of works and know how to successfully manage deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating artwork and branding elements for amazing children’s properties. Elements include web materials, social media ads, newsletter banners and print such as movie posters, DVD covers, brochures, postcards and magazine inserts
• Working in a team environment with managers, editors and sales to ensure the creative vision of the properties is implemented on time and on budget
• Cross test the beta VOC platform with new graphics
• Assist in data entry, quality control, documentation, proofreading and other basic office duties as needed

Requirements  

• MUST have a portfolio from university and/or other freelance work
• MUST have experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• MUST have excellent project management and documentation skills
• Experience with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
• Excellent editing, writing skills, proofreading skills, including a solid understanding of SEO
• Bachelors Degree (or expected degree) required
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively under strict deadlines
• Ability to work with people from different disciplines and cultures
• Multi-tasker and self-starter who thrives in small, team-oriented environment
• Experience with Mac, iOS, MS Office and Adobe is required
• Company is looking for Macophiles with an obsession for the end user experience
• Must take pride in work and strive for zero-defect output.
