Position Summary

Oznoz.com and Big Bad Boo Studios develop and distribute multilingual products (animated cartoons, comic books and games) that teach children different languages and about different cultures. We are a nimble and high growth company looking for energetic team players that can positively contribute to our environment, have a passion for excellence and appreciate our social objectives.

We are seeking an experienced Video Editor with at 2+ years of experience. A solid understanding of a wide range of video formats is essential. Including HD, SD, various codecs, aspect ratios and frame rates. The successful candidate will have strong motion graphics skills and a killer portfolio. Experience designing static and motion graphics for DVD menus is a plus. Some experience and with DVD Authoring and an interest to learn more is a plus. You will be responsible for preparing video assets for DVD Authoring and VOD delivery for Big Bad Boo properties such as 1001 Nights and products sold on oznoz.com such as Sesame Street and other iconic children’s properties.

Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus. Please list your languages and level of fluency.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing video assets for DVD Authoring & VOD delivery, this will include adding titles & credits, syncing multiple languages, editing trailers and promos, format conversions.
• Designing professional static and motion menus for DVD.
• Working in a team environment with other designers, editors and managers to ensure the creative vision of the properties is implemented on time and on budget.
• Testing VOD platform for QC.
• Being a team player and doing whatever it takes to help grow the company.

Requirements

• MUST have hands on experience with video editing, transcoding and graphics programs including Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite
• MUST be versed in a variety of video formats and their delivery to all platforms, including h.264, HLS formats and mobile platforms
• MUST have 2+ years of experience and come with a full portfolio of sample editing & motion design work.
• MUST be proficient in Apple Final Cut Pro, Motion, Photoshop, After Effects and Video Compression techniques.
• Degree or diploma in film, media arts or equivalent
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively under strict deadline
• Ability to work with people from different disciplines and cultures with varying degrees of knowledge
• Strong work ethic and team player
• Multi-tasker and self-starter who thrives in small, team-oriented environment
• Experience with Mac computers is a plus
• Experience with MS office and Adobe products is a plus
